Q. What is star appeal?
A. Star Appeal is a popular technique used by Hollywood photographers that will soften your image and enhance your portrait. The photographer applies this technique at the time your portrait is taken. It is not a retouch and will not completely remove blemishes, only soften their appearance.

    Q. What about blemishes?
A. Temporary blemishes need not be an embarrassment on finished portraits. Students don’t want a temporary blemish permanently displayed on their portrait. Retouching will
eliminate harsh blemishes before printing. The result is a portrait far superior and much more satisfying to students and parents.

Q. What is a pre-pay program?
A. You are able to make your selections on the flyer envelope provided by the school. Mark the choice(s), add your student’s name, teacher, and grade in the boxes and enclose a check, cash or money order for the total amount of the order in the payment envelope. Your student is to give the payment envelope to the photographer on photo day to place your order. All students are photographed for school records; only those who turn in payment and envelope on photo day will receive a photo package.

Q. When is picture day?
A. Notices are provided to the school to distribute to students prior to picture day indicating the day of photography. If you lose your picture day flyer, a replacement can be picked up in the school office.

Q. I forgot to send money on picture day. Can I still order?
A. It is necessary to contact Bartolo School Photography immediately. We normally allow a 24-hour period to add an order for your convenience. If it is too late to add an order, you can send in your order on retake day and have your child’s portrait retaken. If retake day has already come and gone, a Bartolo School Photography representative will be glad to look up your student’s information for you to order online at www.bartolophoto.com. Please keep in mind that prepay packages are a special price: reorders for the same packages and pricing will not be available online.

Q. When is retake day?
A. Students should be notified by the school of the retake date scheduled.

Q. What is the difference between Gift Wallets and Wallet Exchange? Which wallets are the smallest?
A. Gift Wallets measure 2 1/2 x 3 1/2". Wallet Exchange (the smallest) 1 3/4 x 2 1/2".

Q. I am not happy with the package combinations offered. What are my options?
A. The combinations offered are agreed upon by a representative of the school and our sales associate. We anticipate that the packages offered along with the variety of bonus options can suit most needs. If a small package is offered that would meet part of your needs, remaining items may be obtained through the reorder option after the initial purchase. Reorder incur a shipping charge and prices do vary from original offerings.

Q. We ordered multiple packages - can they be delivered separately?
A. We understand that some families would like to order multiple packages for parents and relatives. Please specify in big, bold words (i.e. Mom) on the front of your payment envelope as to whom the package belongs to in the case of multiple orders. With Bartolo School Photography each package will be delivered in a separate package envelope with a customized insert indicating to whom the package is for.

Q. I received my picture package, but my class picture was missing.
A. If it is a composite (the term "deferred" is printed on the package information sheet) they do not ship until a later date in order to include students that may have been absent. In addition, these class composites are proofed to the school for subject and name spelling accuracy before being produced. They are delivered to the school in the early spring and they are sorted by classroom with a computerized list to each teacher as to who purchased and should receive a class photo (composite). If other students in the classroom have received theirs please ask your teacher and/or contact Bartolo School Photography.

If your package insert says “group” and other students have received theirs but you have not, please ask your teacher if he/she has any extra group pictures. If not, please contact Bartolo School Photography and let them know. A representative will be happy to correct that for you.

Q. What if I don't like my pictures?
A. We guarantee clear, eyes open portraits, free of any processing defects. We can assure you that every effort was made to insure that hair and clothing are neat. Personal appearance is the responsibility of the parent and student. Combs and mirrors are provided for grooming. Refunds or retakes cannot be made for personal reasons or areas beyond our control (i.e. hairstyle changes, complexion, clothing, eyeglass glare, dental changes, etc.) Return your complete package to the photographer on retake day or mail the entire package within 10 days to the address printed on your package information sheet. Place an explanation for the return on the reverse side of the portrait envelope. Returns that arrive after retake day has passed will be given a refund.

Q. What if my package is incorrect?
A. Contact Bartolo School Photography at (626) 445-1888 Monday through Friday or email us anytime at www.bartolophoto.com by selecting the "reorders" link and then choosing "questions" - type in your insert code number, select submit, then type in your question.
